How Bulk T-Shirt Manufacturing Works: A Guide for Procurement Teams
For a procurement or purchasing team ordering apparel for the first time, the biggest question is usually: “once we place this order, what actually happens, and when do we get it?” Here’s the process end to end.
1. Requirement
Share your product, quantity, fabric preference (or let us recommend one), branding requirement and delivery location. There’s no fixed minimum beyond MOQ 100+ pieces, but pricing and lead time both scale with quantity.
2. Quote
Based on your requirement, you’ll receive factory-direct pricing — no middleman margin, since production happens in-house.
3. Design / Mockup
Your logo or design is laid out on the garment as a digital mockup, so you can confirm placement and sizing before anything is produced.
4. Sample
For bulk orders, we strongly recommend approving a physical sample first — fabric, colour, fit and branding — rather than committing the full quantity sight-unseen.
5. Approval
Once the sample is signed off, that becomes the reference specification for the entire bulk run — the same fabric, colour, fit and branding are used to produce every piece.
6. Production
Cutting, stitching and finishing happen in-house. Typical production time is 7–15 working days, depending on quantity and complexity.
7. Quality Inspection
Finished garments go through quality control before packing — checking stitching, print/embroidery placement, sizing consistency and fabric quality.
8. Packing & Dispatch
Orders are packed (standard, individual, or branded packaging, depending on what you need) and dispatched pan-India, with tracking.
What Changes With Quantity?
| Quantity | Typically Suited For |
|---|---|
| 100–250 | Small businesses, single-branch teams, small events |
| 250–500 | Agencies, single campaigns, mid-size corporate teams |
| 500–1,000 | Corporate departments, multi-day events |
| 1,000–5,000 | Large campaigns, company-wide uniform rollouts |
| 5,000+ | Enterprise / institutional programs, multi-location dispatch |
Reordering
Once a specification is approved, it’s kept on file — a repeat order for the same fabric, colour, fit and branding can skip the sampling step entirely, which is usually the fastest way to reorder.
